Position Overview

Foundation Building Materials (FBM) is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Customer Development Coordinator to support multiple regions across the business. This role is primarily administrative and operational, focused on supporting sales teams, coordinating customer-related processes, and ensuring accuracy across systems and documentation.

 

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, excels at managing multiple priorities, and plays a key role behind the scenes to ensure a seamless customer and sales experience. This position does not carry individual sales quotas or assigned accounts but is critical in supporting overall business operations and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities and Qualifications

Key Responsibilities
Administrative & Sales Support
  • Provide administrative support to sales teams across multiple regions, including quote entry, order processing, and documentation management
  • Assist with preparing and processing customer quotes, ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Support order lifecycle activities, including entry, updates, and coordination with internal teams
  • Maintain organized and accurate records of customer interactions and transactions
 
Customer & Internal Coordination
  • Act as a central point of contact for internal teams to support customer-related inquiries and requests
  • Coordinate with sales, operations, and logistics teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment
  • Assist in resolving customer issues by gathering information and facilitating communication across departments
  • Support a seamless customer experience through timely follow-up and attention to detail
 
CRM & Data Management
  • Maintain and update CRM with accurate customer, order, and activity data
  • Ensure data integrity across systems to support reporting and operational efficiency
  • Generate reports and assist with tracking key metrics as needed
 
Product & Process Support
  • Develop a working knowledge of FBM products, systems, and processes
  • Support internal teams with product-related information and documentation as needed
  • Participate in training to stay current on systems, tools, and processes
 
Additional Responsibilities & Miscellaneous
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support customer development and corporate objectives
 
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in a customer service, administrative, or sales support role
  • Experience working with CRM systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and process consistency
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Experience in building materials, distribution, or related industry preferred
  • Familiarity with order entry, quoting, or sales support processes preferred

 

Compensation and Benefits

Compensation
The listed pay range reflects the expected base rate for this position. Within the range, individual pay may vary based on experience, qualifications, and work location within state. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.
  • Base: $23.08 - $26.44 per hour
  • Bonus: $1,700 per month for the first 6 months.
  • Total Compensation (Base + Bonus): The successful candidate could reasonably expect a Total Compensation Package in the range of $68,406 - $75,395
  • Equity: This role is not eligible for equity opportunities, awards or grants
