Position Overview

At Foundation Building Materials (FBM), the FP&A Manager Sales, serves as a key business partner to Sales, Operations, and Executive Leadership, driving financial visibility, performance insights, and strategic decision support across the organization.

 

This role blends FP&A, commercial finance, and operational analytics, with a strong focus on revenue performance, pricing, margins, product, and customer analytics to support top-line growth and profitability.

Responsibilities and Qualifications

Key Responsibilities
Commercial Finance & Sales Partnership
  • Partner with Sales leadership to analyze revenue, pricing, volume, and customer profitability to support top-line growth targets
  • Conduct detailed pricing analysis and forecast the impact of price changes on revenue, volume, and profit margins
  • Act as a trusted advisor to Sales and Operations leaders by delivering actionable financial insights
 
Financial Planning & Analysis
  • Support end-to-end financial planning processes, including annual operating plan, strategic plan, forecasts, and executive financial reviews
  • Develop financial models, scenario planning, and sensitivity analysis to highlight risks and opportunities
  • Prepare executive-level reporting packages with clear, actionable insights
 
Performance Management & Reporting
  • Drive margin optimization through KPI development and tracking (product mix, ASPs, customer and product margins)
  • Provide monthly reporting on synergy cost-saving initiatives and partner with operations to drive efficiencies
  • Analyze monthly commission reports for accuracy and financial integrity
 
Data, Systems & Process Improvement
  • Enhance reporting tools, dashboards, and data integrity across ERP and BI platforms
  • Automate manual processes to improve financial visibility and efficiency
  • Partner with IT and Data teams to strengthen analytics capabilities
  • Promote a data-driven culture across the organization
 
Additional Responsibilities & Miscellaneous
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support Finance and corporate objectives
 
 
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field
  • 5–7 years of progressive experience in FP&A, commercial finance, or related disciplines
  • Experience translating complex data into actionable insights
  • Proven ability to communicate financial insights and recommendations to senior leadership
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Curious mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and challenging the status quo

 

Compensation and Benefits

Compensation
The listed pay range reflects the expected base rate for this position. Within the range, individual pay may vary based on experience, qualifications, and work location within state. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.
  • Base: $125,000 - $145,000 per year
  • Bonus: 15% Target Bonus
  • Total Compensation (Base + Bonus): The successful candidate could reasonably expect a Total Compensation Package in the range of $134,000 - $177,000
  • Equity: This role is not eligible for equity opportunities, awards or grants
